Detroit tenants face eviction from unsafe building with no heat or water

The city of Detroit has ordered tenants to vacate an apartment building on the west side due to unsafe living conditions, including no heat and no running water. The building, connected to the company RealToken known for neglecting properties and evading responsibility through LLCs, has been declared unsafe, prompting city workers to assist residents with relocation. Despite ongoing issues, tenants like Brittany Rogers and Dawan Siebert express willingness to leave if given time, while city officials work to enforce compliance among negligent property owners. RealToken has not responded to requests for comment.
