Man who killed Detroit neurosurgeon Devon Hoover receives lengthy prison sentence

Desmond Burks was sentenced to 35 to 60 years for the murder of Dr. Devon Hoover and 10 to 15 years for the killing of Reda Saleh in separate incidents in Detroit. During the sentencing, Burks, who had pleaded guilty, displayed dismissive behavior and denied being a murderer, gang member, or homosexual, despite his relationship with Hoover.
