Driver abandons Jeep after hitting police cruiser working crash on Lodge Freeway
A 29-year-old woman from Detroit is sought by authorities after abandoning her Jeep following a collision with a Michigan State Police cruiser on the Lodge Freeway. The cruiser, which had its emergency lights on, was pushed into a concrete wall due to the impact, while the Jeep crossed traffic lanes and hit the center median before the driver fled on foot. The trooper involved was hospitalized as a precaution but is now cleared. Police emphasize the importance of Michigan’s Move Over Law, which mandates slowing and yielding for emergency vehicles.
