Detroit STEAM SLAM gives students hands-on tech experience

Hundreds of metro Detroit students participated in STEAM SLAM, an annual event by nonprofit CODE313, featuring hands-on workshops in technology, including drone basketball, robot-building, and virtual reality. The event, held at Huntington Place with support from the Detroit Pistons and Motor City Cruise, aims to inspire interest in STEM and close the digital divide by exposing students to future career opportunities.
