Lawsuit alleges teen sexually abused at Detroit Behavioral Institute by staff

Staggering allegations of abuse inside a now-closed treatment center in the city of Detroit. A lawsuit claims a 17-year-old, who was admitted to the Detroit Behavioral Institute, was instead repeatedly sexually abused by staff. The facility was shut down in 2022, following severe allegations of abuse and neglect. Since then, several lawsuits have been filed against the facility and its parent company, Acadia Healthcare. These allegations are extremely disturbing.
