A Detroit search warrant ended in a deadly shooting. Here's what we know

Detroit police shot and killed a 20-year-old man while executing a search warrant related to a recent shooting on the city’s east side. During the search, officers encountered the man in a bedroom, where he fired at them and was fatally shot in return; no officers were injured. Two women and a child were safely removed from the home before the incident. A 17-year-old suspect tied to the original Waltham Street shooting remains at large.
