Detroit Grand Prix Free Prix Day brings families, fans to streets of downtown

Free Prix Day, a Detroit Grand Prix tradition for over four decades, drew large crowds to downtown Detroit for a free, up-close experience with race cars and drivers. The event welcomed both longtime attendees and newcomers, offering fans designated seating with direct views of the track and pit lane. Many, including families and students, appreciated the opportunity to engage with the sport in an accessible, community-focused setting. Free viewing areas remain available throughout the weekend for those who missed the opening day.
