Crowds grow at Hart Plaza, Belle Isle ahead of Ford Fireworks

Crowds are growing at Hart Plaza, where spectators are claiming spots along the riverfront ahead of the annual fireworks display. On Belle Isle, visitors are also arriving early to secure prime viewing locations, including Sunset Point, one of the island’s most popular spots to watch the show. Many families make a tradition out of arriving hours before the fireworks begin, bringing chairs, blankets, food, and grills while they wait for the skyline to light up. At Sunset Point, some visitors line up early in the day and wait in their vehicles to get one of the best views of the Ford Fireworks. The annual event continues to bring together generations of families and friends across Detroit as crowds prepare for one of the city’s biggest summer celebrations.
