Detroit Youth Choir launches free program -- here’s what to know

Getting a live look over Detroit — and there is a new free opportunity for families this summer. The Detroit Youth Choir’s Encore Summer Performing Arts program starts this Monday and runs through Aug. 14 -- open to students in grades 1 through 10. Every day, kids get help with music, dance, theatre, math, and English, plus breakfast and lunch. It runs at three Detroit locations. And it wraps up with a big show at the Garden Theater on August 20th and 21st. The music director for the Detroit Youth Choir, Anthony White, joined Local 4 Live to talk more about the program.
