Mom wants to thank 2 who saved her, kids in mall shooting

A Genesee County mother and her daughters want to find and thank two people who helped her during and after gunfire erupted at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets over the weekend. The shooting left one dead and another injured. Ashley says she has tried to find the woman and man, who she says, helped her and carried her daughters to safety after she fell and got trampled, but hasn’t been able to. “In a frightening moment, they helped protect my children, and I will never forget that kindness,” Ashley said. Meanwhile, her four year-old and her six-year-old are just beginning to process what happened. “It’s ok. I forgive them for fighting,” six-year-old Paisleigh said. We will have more on Local 4 News at 5:30 p.m. and at clickonDetroit.com. We will also include descriptions of the individuals from her children.
