Mother, 10-year-old son, 2 relatives injured in shooting

A mother, her 10-year-old son, and two relatives were injured during a quadruple shooting on Detroit’s east side. The shooting occurred on Friday (Aug. 21) shortly before 6 p.m. in the 3700 block of Haverhill Street, according to Assistant Chief Kari Sloan. The victims include a man and woman around 40-years-old, a man in his 20s, and a 10-year-old child. The woman, who is the mother of the 10-year-old, was in critical condition, Sloan said.
