Metro Detroit weather forecast: Chance of rain, storms ahead

Low temperatures fall into upper 50s

No description found

DETROIT – It was another fantastic finish on Wednesday, and there’s still more beautiful weather to come.

Clouds will increase Wednesday night ahead of a weakening line of showers and thunderstorms arriving from western Michigan. Most of this line should fall apart, but there’s still a chance of a shower or storm late Wednesday evening, mainly in the North Zone and northern sections of the West Zone. Low temperatures will range from the upper 50s to the low 60s.

Thursday looks even nicer, with plenty of sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures. We’ll make a run at 80 degrees in spots, but most locations will finish in the mid- to upper 70s.

Another line of showers and storms will weaken Friday as it pushes through in the afternoon and evening.  Most locations will remain dry, however. Highs will rise again to the mid- and upper 70s.

Beyond that, October muscles its way back in. Daytime highs get only into the low 60s, but with plenty of sunshine. Morning lows on Sunday and Monday will be in the 40s area-wide (with possibly a couple of upper 30s in spots). We’ll stay dry, bright and close to average for the early part of next week.
