Metro Detroit weather forecast: Clouds overhead Saturday evening and at night

DETROIT – Welcome to Saturday evening, Motown!

Skies will be overcast at dinnertime and overnight. Sunday will be a bit drizzly but slightly milder. Those raindrops turn to snowflakes by Veterans’ Day, Monday.

Saturday evening will be partly to mostly cloudy with high and mid-level clouds overhead. Temps will be in the upper 30s.

Sunset is at 5:18 p.m. ET.

Saturday night will be mostly cloudy and chilly but not as cold. Overnight lows will be in the middle 30s.

Sunday will be cloudier, but milder. Daytime temperatures reach the mid-to-upper 40s.

Snow is released from those clouds, Sunday night and Monday. Accumulations may be an inch or more by the end of Monday with afternoon temps at or below freezing.

Another polar plunge is behind the snow. Tuesday and mid week will see daytime temperatures in the 20s and low 30s and nighttime temperatures in the teens.
