After yesterday’s warmth (tying the record of 73 degrees), we will see temperatures topping out in the 50s on this Thursday.
we’ll also see rain showers move through the area today, with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Here’s what to expect.
Thursday thunderstorm chances
It will be mostly cloudy with rain showers and a chance of thunderstorms today. Showers began in the morning and were expected to become widespread by noon. Those in more southern counties have a better change for stronger showers and storms in the late morning hours.
The chance of thunderstorms will be greater in the afternoon and evening.
Stronger thunderstorms could produce downpours and some hail. There is a marginal risk -- or a low level risk -- of an isolated storm becoming severe.
Temperatures will range from the lower to upper 50s with cooler temperatures near the I-69 corridor. Non thunderstorm winds will move out of the east-northeast at 5-10 mph.
Lingering showers overnight
We will have a few rain showers and thunderstorms this evening.
Lows will fall to the paper 30s and lower 40s.
We’ll dry out by Friday. The day will be mostly cloudy with highs around 50 degrees. Lows will fall to the lower 30s.
Rain, snow chances this weekend
There will be the chance of evening rain showers and gusty winds on Saturday, and scattered rain and snow showers on Sunday. While temperatures will top out in the mid-50s on Saturday, they will only make it to the mid-40s to 50 degrees on Sunday.
