Warm and muggy today with a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms this evening.
As far as the timeline, there are isolated chances close to the dinner hour, but becoming more numerous after sunset and much more widespread in coverage into Thursday morning with a narrow swath of heavy rain possible.
Looking ahead
Some light rain could linger into the afternoon on Thursday with distinctly cooler conditions. Highs tomorrow and Friday will be in the upper 70s. Dry weather with less humid air builds into the area on Friday, lingering into the weekend.
We will have “open the window” weather at night with overnight lows falling into the 50s heading into the weekend. Plan for sunshine and seasonal low 80s for highs both Saturday and Sunday.
