The Air Quality Advisory remains in effect through Saturday. Another cooler than average day with low humidity. Mostly sunny and pleasant with highs in the upper 70s. This starts a nice stretch of car wash weather! We stay dry through the weekend with temperatures gradually warming into the low 80s both Saturday and Sunday.
Air Quality
We will likely see some improvements in air quality from the Canadian wildfire smoke today. However, that is expected to be short-lived as additional plumes drop into the region.
High pressure settling overhead will limit dispersion and keep smoke at the surface through Saturday.
It is recommended that, when possible, you avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory diseases like asthma. Monitor for symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in nose, throat, and eyes. Reduce or eliminate activities that contribute to air pollution, such as: outdoor burning, use of residential wood burning devices. Keep windows closed overnight to prevent smoke from getting indoors.
Next Week
We will have a seasonal start to the next work week with highs back into the mid-80s. Rain chances hold off until the middle of next week.
