Patchy fog early this morning in our outlying areas may become locally dense before sunrise. Otherwise, high pressure overhead will bring us dry, sunny and seasonable weather today. Highs will top out in the upper 80s.

Weekend
Back into the 80s on Saturday, but we are tracking some changes. Have an umbrella on standby. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon and evening with the passage of a cold front. The chances are more probable along and north of M-59, but we can’t rule out a shower or two across the Metro area. Severe weather is not likely. Below average temperatures return Sunday through Wednesday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s to round out the weekend.
Next week
We get a taste of fall-like temperatures early next week as we round out the month of August. There is a slight chance for rain on Monday, but the temperatures will be the headline with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s through Wednesday. Overnight lows will fall into the low 50s.
