Windy Wednesday in Metro Detroit -- What to know about upcoming rain chances

Trending drier with howling winds for Halloween.

DETROIT – Another dry day today with seasonal temperatures rising into the mid to upper 50s this afternoon.

It will remain breezy with gusts in the 20-25 mph range, so keep an eye on the outdoor Halloween decorations. Clouds increase later today ahead of our next rain maker.

Rain chances increase after midnight into Thursday, with rain more likely on the east side early Thursday before becoming a bit more widespread across the rest of SE Michigan later in the day. Temperatures drop below average on Thursday with highs around 50.

We rebound into the low to mid-50s on Friday with howling winds on Halloween. However, we should remain dry for trick-or-treating! Wind gusts will likely be between 20-30 mph.
