DETROIT – Another round of snowfall is heading to Metro Detroit, and it’s becoming more clear when it’ll start and end.
Snow timeline
We’re expecting snow to begin in the late evening, likely around 9-10 p.m. Monday.
It should be out of the area by 6 a.m. Tuesday.
So the full snow window is from roughly 9 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Accumulations
Most of this snowfall is expected to be slight and steady, leading only to minor accumulations.
Expect most of Southeast Michigan to get between a half-inch and one inch of snow.
Great snow totals are possible south of I-94, closer to the state line. Monroe County and the southern areas could get up to 2 inches, at the most.
The snow is going to be light, but persistent enough during the window that there will be some minor accumulation.
Temperatures
Temperatures are expected to be 10 degrees below average or lower for the entire week.
Highs could be in the 20s on Thursday and Friday. Wind chills in the single digits are possible.
