After a dry and cold into the week, we are going to keep the cold weather and also bring chances for winter weather back in the forecast, looking heading into the weekend.
The cloud cover will stick around as we work through the day on a Saturday. We may have a few snowflakes from time to time, especially from the morning into the early mid-afternoon hours, as we watch a cold front roll through the region. High temperatures are heading into the lower 30s by Saturday afternoon.
Cloud cover sticks around the forecast Saturday night and into the end of the weekend on Sunday, but that is when our next chance of snow moves into the region. We’re going to watch a disturbance roll through as we go through throughout the day on Sunday, which will bring chances for snow back into the region. Most places could see around an inch to an inch and a half of accumulation, possibly a few places as high as 2 inches of snow by the time we get to late Sunday night. Daytime highs heading for the upper 20s to lower 30s by Sunday afternoon.
We bring some much-needed sunshine into the forecast to start next week on Monday, but cold temperatures will be sticking around as well. High temperatures starting off into the single digital low teens on Monday morning and only warming into the mid 20s by Monday afternoon.
Another chance of snow moves into the forecast by the time we get to Tuesday, and that is quickly followed by the chance of a rain-snow shower mix for the middle of the week on Wednesday. Some of the data this morning is showing that we may see a colder solution move in for the middle of the week, on Wednesday. If that does occur, this would be more winter weather than that rain-snow wintry mix. High temperatures remaining in the low to mid 30s for Tuesday and into Wednesday.
We’re going to keep a few flakes in the forecast late Thursday night; otherwise, cloud cover sticks around throughout the day on Thursday, before the dry weather sticks around to the end of the week on Friday. Mostly cloudy skies can be expected for Friday. High temperatures into the upper 20s and lower 30s on Thursday will warm only into the mid 20s by the end of next week on Friday.
