A damp and dreary start to your Wednesday, but we are waking up to a huge 24-hour upward swing in temperatures. That is because we had a warm front roll through overnight that triggered rain.
The blanket of cloud cover allowed temperatures to stay mild compared to the frosty start we had Tuesday morning. Still, don’t expect temperatures to climb much higher today. A cold front is chasing closely behind the warm air, keeping skies mostly cloudy and conditions on the cool side. Afternoon temperatures will level off in the 50s, while gusty winds crank up to 30–35 mph, making it feel brisk at times. You’ll want the umbrella and jacket handy for one more day with a stray shower chance.

The next round of active weather is expected late Sunday into early next week, bringing chances for showers and thunderstorms as another system moves into the Great Lakes.
