MDOT says buckling at Warren Avenue likely caused by flooding

DETROIT -  State road officials have closed two eastbound lanes of I-94 at Warren Avenue to address buckling.

Michigan Department of Transportation spokeswoman Diane Cross said the buckling was likely caused by standing water that was left on the roadway after the heavy rains earlier this week.

The center and right lanes are closed. The left lane is open.

The closure is expected to last until 10 p.m. Thursday.

Traffic is stop-and-go in the immediate area.

There is a sign up in the area warning drivers about the rough pavement.
