Brave inspectors walk atop Ambassador Bridge

Bridge is undergoing structural upgrades

DETROIT – If you're afraid of heights, this story isn't for you.

Earlier this week, Michael Evans captured a great video of crew workers making their way across the Ambassador Bridge, some 100 meters in the air, and posted it to YouTube.

The crew is performing upgrades to the bridge, as well as inspecting it.

The Ambassador Bridge is the busiest land border crossing in North America, in trade volume. It stretches 7,500 feet, and was built in 1929. Its total cost to build in 1929 was $23.5 million, which is around $322 million in 2015.
