Woman killed in Ecorse shooting, others injured

More than 35 shots were fired

ECORSE, Mich. – Ecorse Police are looking for whoever is behind a deadly shooting that involved more than 35 shots being fired.

The Ecorse Police Department received multiple 911 calls about the shooting that happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on the 3700-block of 12th Street. 

There were multiple victims in the shooting incident.  A 22-year-old woman was shot at least once, according to the Ecorse Police Department.  She was taken to a local hospital and died.  A 38-year-old man was also shot.  He was undergoing surgery Sunday morning.  His condition is unknown at this time.  A 30-year-old was also injured.

The incident started with an altercation at a night club in Detroit, according to preliminary investigations.  Police believe that someone  from that incident drove to a "Social Club" in Ecorse.  That person was then apparently followed to 12th street in Ecorse where more than 35 shots were fired.
