City of Ann Arbor announces Veterans Day schedule

ANN ARBOR – All municipal offices and the customer service center at Larcom City Hall will be closed in observance of the Veterans Day federal holiday on Friday.

The 15th Judicial District Court in the Ann Arbor Justice Center will also be closed on Friday.

Trash, recycling and compost curbside collection service will continue on its regular schedule, according to a city release.

City utility operations and safety services will also maintain their regular 24-hour schedules during the holiday.

Veterans Day is always observed on Nov. 11 in honor of the official ending of fighting in World War I at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11, 1918 -- what later became known as “Armistice Day.”
