Tracking a big shift in pickup truck competition

DETROIT – The auto industry depends on trucks and SUVs these days, and the pickup trucks are really paying the bills at the domestic three.

There's been a dramatic shift in the business that changes the game significantly. It's not uncommon to see transport trucks full of pickup trucks, usually already spoken for before they even hit the dealer's lot. Winning awards and accolades in this arena is vital.

The Dodge Ram picked up another award, in addition to winning the truck of the year in all the top listings. It's also jumped up to No. 2 in overall sales.
