Southfield Veteran's Day ceremony to be held November 8th

Ceremony to honor military personnel service, sacrific

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The city of Southfield will host the annual Veterans' Day Ceremony on Friday, November 8 at 11:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers, 26000 Evergreen Road.

The City sponsors the annual event in partnership with the Southfield Veterans' Commission to honor and recognize the service and sacrifice of military personnel. The ceremony will include remarks by Mayor Brenda L. Lawrence, a keynote address by Brigadier General Michael A. Stone (Assistant Adjutant General-Installations of the Michigan National Guard), recognition of the city of Southfield and Southfield Post Office veterans, a medley tribute to the armed services by the Southfield-Lathrup High School Advanced Choir and a 21-gun salute.
