Detroit Dog Rescue to host Doggie Fashion Show

Canines and Couture will be held March 30

BIRMINGHAM, Mich. – Detroit Dog Rescue is getting ready to hold a special doggie fashion show fundraiser called Canines and Couture.

Detroit Dog Rescue, a non-profit organization that works to rescue dogs in the community, is holding the special event from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 30. Canines and Couture will take place at The Townsend Hotel, which is located at 100 Townsend Street in Birmingham.

The show will feature models strolling the catwalk with some of the dogs rescued by Detroit Dog Rescue. The models will showcase Spring and Summer collections from Metro Detroit designers. Pet friendly accessories will also be featured in the fashion show.

Guests at the Canines and Couture show will get to walk the red carpet and have their photos taken. There will also be a cocktail and dessert reception.

Local 4 Meteorologist Andrew Humphrey will be joining the fun as a co-host of the show.
