Detroit Pit Crew rescues dogs in need of help

DETROIT – Last week, the case of “Meatball,” a dog in Eastpointe whose owner was caught on camera abusing him sparked outrage in a lot of people.

A neighbor helped by calling police and videotaping the awful incident. Meatball was removed from the home and the owner could soon be facing charges.

A dog rescue group also got involved to assist police.

The Detroit Pit Crew rescue group has been helping destitute dogs since 2013.
