St. Mary's Polish Country Fair opens Friday

Bands, groups entertain afternoons, evenings

DETROIT – The summer season kicks off this weekend with the 42nd Annual St. Mary's Polish Country Fair in Orchard Lake.

The four-day event opens Friday and continues through Monday through Memorial Day.
Fair-goers will find a midway filled with 45-plus rides from an 80-foot rollercoaster to a merry go round.

There's also a kid zone and crafts for youngsters.  For the older set there's a Las Vegas tent, Bingo and adult beverages. 
Foods include authentic Polish and all-American food ranging from pierogis, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa, sauerkraut, hamburgers, corn dogs, fresh baked goods and smoothies.

Carnival rides include an 80-foot rollercoaster and 45 plus midway rides including a merry go round. Look for the kids zone and crafts for youngsters.

The fair opens 5 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday -- it's on the campus of Orchard Lake St. Mary. 3535 Indian Trail.

Admission is free/ parking is $10.
