Busch's Fresh Food Market has issued a voluntary recall of products that contain onions produced by Gills Onions, LLC. of Oxnard, California
The supermarket has recalled products processed between July 20 and July 27 of this year. The recall folllows an expanded voluntary recall by Gills Onions, LLC. of their Peeled Whole Yellow Onions due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes
In a statement, Busch's Fresh Food Market said all the items they have recalled have been cooked and generally Listeria Bacteria are killed in the cooking process, but they can't guarantee that, so that's why they decided to issue the voluntary recall.

Busch's said all the recalled products should be thrown out or returned for a refund or replacement. The grocery store chain has not received any reports of illness in connection with these products.
Busch's Fresh Food Market is a Michigan company based in Ann Arbor.
The initial recall of Gills Onions products was on July 18, but it was expanded on Thursday to include diced, slivered and whole peeled onions and diced onion/celery mix with use-by dates of on or before August 3.
Recalled products from Gills Onions were sold in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Montana, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah and Washington and to retailers in Canada. For a full list of their recalled products, click here.
The Food and Drug Administration's website said no illnesses have been reported in relation to this recall.
