'Landmarked Detroit' includes 40 points of interest, 20 check-in locations
Want to explore Detroit? There's an app for that.
Detroit Labs has created an app that will take people through various historical locations and points of interest throughout the city.
The app called "Landmarked Detroit," includes 40 points of interest and 20 check-in locations from the Fox Theater to the Riverfront. At each of the locations, users will be able to see interesting facts and information and view old photos.
Business analyst Will McDowell came up with the idea for the app. McDowell, a resident of Detroit, says "People will begin to realize that downtown Detroit really is a walkable city, and that there is a lot to do and see if you just take the time to check it out."
The Landmarked Detroit app is available for download now.
