Detroit Dirt is actually made of worm castings and is farmed from within the city.

Shinola will be selling the nonprofit startup's compost at it's stores until May 14 (Mother's Day), falling inline with the company's other Mother's Day products.

A 5-pound box of Detroit Dirt costs $30.
