Movie shoot slows traffic in Downtown Detroit

M-10 closed Saturday while DreamWorks Studio films 'Need For Speed' in Detroit

DETROIT

During a movie shoot for "Need For Speed" on Saturday southbound M-10 was closed south of Howard Street in Detroit.

DreamWorks Studio is filming the movie, which centers around a street racer who embarks on a cross country adventure fueled by revenge after being framed and sent to prison.

A giant ramp was set up for a car stunt near the Lodge closer. Traffic was backed up on Jefferson Avenue from Rivard Street all the way to west of Cobo.
