Michigan, Great Lakes shine in photo from space

DETROIT – NASA astronaut Scott Kelly tweeted a photo of the Great Lakes area from the International Space Station, over 200 miles up.

The tweet said: "Even in darkness the #GreatLakes are unmistakable. #GoodMorning from @Space_Station #YearInSpace ."

Kelly has been on the space station for more than a year, as he studies the effects a year in space can have on a human.
