Report: Tina Turner, Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, dies at 83

Legendary music artist Tina Turner, the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll,” has died at the age of 83.

A statement obtained by Sky News read: “Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock’n Roll’ has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland. With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model.”

The specific cause of her death was not released.

Turner sold more than 100 million records worldwide, and is one of the best-selling artists of all time, earning 12 Grammy Awards. She has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame two times, with Ike Turner in 1991 and as a solo artist in 2021.
