DETROIT – The 313 is turning 324, and we’re throwing Detroit a one-of-a-kind birthday party by raising the city’s flag, eating cake, laughing and dancing together! Live music, giveaways, and plenty of fun surprises!

Detroit’s flag symbolizes resilience and the power of unity in our community. So, let’s come together, share a few laughs, have an excellent time and do exactly what Detroit hopes we continue to do. Rise up!
The celebration will be from 12 pm - 4 pm with live music performances and a Detroit Flag raising ceremony at 3:13 pm that will commence with dessert! You can’t have a birthday party without cake right!
After we wish Detroit a happy birthday, we will host a free raffle where you will have the chance to win all sorts of fun Detroit-themed prizes including a Detroit city flag from Raise the Flag Detroit when you become a Local 4 Insider!
Along with celebrating Detroit’s birthday, there will be amazing live performances from Detroit comedians Melanie Hearn and Kevin Johnson, as well as soul and Motown music from Billy Love and Just Brothers. Other performances include Mean Dean 313, Forever Foy & The Black Lion Society and DJ Psycho.
This event is free and open to all ages, thanks to our sponsors Audio Rescue Team and Village Market.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase on-site from the Spirit Plaza food trucks.
