Cranbrook Art Museum

Did you know that the Cranbrook Art Museum is open late every Thursday with free admission? Now you do! Currently, the museum features a new exhibit along with two ongoing ones that you can explore during your visit. If visiting on a Thursday doesn’t fit your schedule, you can also come by from 11 AM to 5 PM on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for an admission fee of $6 to $10.

Eastern Market

Eastern Market After Dark returns Thursday and will transform the market area into a creative district with live music, artwork, vendors, special activities and more. The annual night market, which is part of Detroit Month of Design, draws thousands of visitors and offers people the chance to experience the city’s thriving art and design scene in action.

Check out an array of both national and local talent now through September 21st at the Detroit House of Comedy, the Independent Comedy Club and the Detroit Shipping Company. Headlining comedians include Steph Tolev, Sam Tallent, David Jolly, Luke Severeid, Deric Poston, Ehsan Ahmad,Mike Bonner, Coco, Miranda Meadows, Adam Fynke, Alan Peterson, Enrique Chacon, Timmy No Brakes, Drew Nickens, and Collin Sledge.

Additionally, there will be artist panel discussions, live installations, exhibitions, and a block party to celebrate the new murals.

There’s a new venue in St. Clair Shores that you should check out! This Saturday, Trader Todd’s Marina will be hosting a shoreline market and marina experience. You’ll find a curated vendor market featuring local creatives, artisans, florals and wellness items. Outside in the marina, you can enjoy Summer Bash, a day-long lineup of paddleboarding sessions, floating hangouts, and even more vendors. Whether you come to shop, paddle, or soak in the lakeside vibes, you’ll leave feeling like you’ve been on vacation without leaving town.
