DETROIT – One of Detroit's best lunch spots is launching its summer menu with some new items.
Chickpea in the D, located at John R and Woodward in Downtown Detroit, launched a completely new smoothie menu, along with a new sandwich.

Smoothies include the Popeye, which is spinach, banana, mango and pineapple, and the Sweet Green, which is basil, lemon, apple, ginger and agave.
The new sandwich, The John R, is turkey breast, Genoa salami, Swiss, roma tomato, jalapeno, lettuce and mayo.
Sandwiches range from $5 to $10. Chickpea in the D is open Monday-Friday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
