Vintage inspired art show takes you back in time

If you’re an art lover and looking for something unique to do for date night, or a night out with friends, there’s an upcoming event that just may catch your attention.

Local artist Kelsey Fox paid a visit to “Live in the D” where she spoke about her passion for art being inspired by a former teacher. “She would talk about the art that she’s seen.. she would teach us about that history,” Fox told host Tati Amare.

Fox displayed some of the vintage pieces she’ll feature at the art show taking place at the Valentine Distillery in Ferndale. Almost 100 years old, the Distillery is the perfect backdrop for a vintage art show. The event will also feature Michigan made light fare, and hand-crafted signature cocktails, made with products from the distillery. The free event happens Tuesday February 28.
