Interested in taking up skiing? Resort in Ontario has program that could help

From beginner to advanced, Blue Mountain has tons of ski options

On skis or a snowboard, the skiing experience at Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario has something for everyone, whether you are a beginner or more advanced in the sport.

“Here at Blue we have 365 skiable acres across the Niagara Escarpment, said Tara Lovell, manager of PR at Blue Mountain Resorts.” Lovell added they offer over 40 ski trails, and if you’re a beginner, this is the right place for you.

“That’s something we specialize (in) here, is for people who aren’t really advent skiers,” Lovell said. “We have a great beginner program.”

They have group and private ski and snowboard lessons, and even a “snow how” program that walks you through a self-guided, step-by-step learning process.

Lovell said any gear that’s needed, including snow pants, is available for guests.

Never experiencing skiing before, April Morton from “Live in the D” gave it a try during a recent visit to Blue Mountain. Click the video above to see how she did, and to get information on how you can win a trip to Blue Mountain.
