Spreading joy with slime

These slime queens are on a mission

Slime not only makes you feel like a kid again, but there are also benefits for playing with it. “Everything that’s pressuring you from the outside world just disappears, you smile, and you really connect your hands to your brand,” says Sara Schiller, one of the co-founder’s and co-CEO’s of the Sloomoo Institute.

Karen Robinovitz, the other co-founder and co-CEO of the Shoomoo Institute, and Schiller are both on a mission to spread joy through playing with slime. They joined host Tati Amare and guest-host Hobie Artigue on “Live in the D” to talk about the benefits as well as the company.

There are various Sloomoo Institutes within the United States, with locations in Chicago, Atlanta, New York, and Houston. There is also another location coming soon, however it has not been announced.

In the institute, Robinovitz says it is “thousands and thousands of square feet, where you can get your hands in gorgeous, handmade slime.” With that, you can also walk on slime, play with kinetic sand, and even design your own slime and take it home with you.

They are currently traveling in Michigan on the Sunshine Tour, dropping off samples and spreading the joy of slime.
