Treat yourself to some self-care and self-love for Valentine’s Day

The benefits of a massage goes way beyond relaxation

Valentine’s Day is just a couple of days away, and while things like flowers or chocolates are sweet, how about treating your Valentine (or yourself) to a massage?

We all know they are relaxing, but MassageLuXe wants you to know the benefits go far beyond simple relaxation. Garry Adkins, a licensed massage therapist with MassageLuXe, appeared on “Live In The D” to let everyone know about the MassageLuXe experience.

“It’s such a luxurious and relaxing environment,” Adkins said. “We deliver the finest massage therapy, facials and waxing services too.” All of what they offered can also be customized to your personal wants and needs.

When it comes to the massage itself, Adkins mention several of their options including:

  • Trigger-point massage
  • Swedish massage
  • Deep tissue massage
  • Prenatal massage for expectant mothers

These treatments can address what MassageLuXe calls stress storage spots, which are points on your body from your face to your next and even your stomach.

“Our stomach is actually our second nervous system. So, we feel everything through our stomach,” said Adkins. “If you can focus on yourself and relaxing your stomach area, all of a sudden you start to feel so different.”

There are also different ways that MassageLuXe supports self-care and self-love at home with their various products from bath salts to lotions.
