The weekend is almost here, and if you’re looking for something to do, there are a few options you may want to consider. First up for all my music lovers, how about some retail therapy while enjoying some tunes. The free concert series returns to the Mall at Partridge Creek. Each weekend a new artist or band will be featured from all genres including, pop, rock, R & B, jazz, and country. The performances are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through Labor Day.
Next up, 12 Mile Road in the city of Berkley will transform into an art filled street party. The Berkley Art Bash returns for its 23rd year. The event will feature more than 180 artists and makers, live music, food, kids activities and more. It’s happening Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Berkley.
School may be out for some, but you can get a history lesson this weekend. The historic Fort Wayne Coalition will take visitors back 160 years to the civil war era. Guests will learn the history of that time and about the fort, which was built 176 years ago. There will be music along the parade grounds, soldier drills, cooking displays and more. It’s happening Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Lastly, this Sunday the Motor City Pride Parade will march through Hart Plaza. The fest will take place on Saturday and Sunday and will feature entertainment, food and more.
