As Mother’s Day fast approaches, one local business is doing what it can to honor one lucky mom across metro Detroit. “Accessories By Stephanie” – located in West Bloomfield - is holding a contest and will select one lucky woman in our area for the Mother’s Day Makeover.
“Mothers across the world give so much of themselves,” said Stephanie Olam, owner of Accessories By Stephanie. She appeared on “Live In The D” to provide more details of the makeover contest. “They give unconditionally without expecting anything in return.”
Olam said one person will be selected for the makeover – which will entail being dressed up with items from her boutique – valued up to $1,000. The winner, according to Olam, “deserves to be seen, acknowledged and appreciated!”
If you’d like to nominate a deserving mother, here are the guidelines:
- Submit a 100-word essay explaining why your nominee should be chosen
- The nominee must live in Wayne, Oakland or Macomb County
- Provide the name and contact information for the woman you’re nominating
- Provide your name and contact information as the person making the nomination
- Send those details via email to cmitch03@comcast.net
- Make sure you type “MOTHER’S DAY CONTEST” in the subject line
