New mystery thriller filmed in metro Detroit

Director, actress talk about “The Daughters of the Domino”

Twists, turns, and suspense are the ingredients in a new mystery movie that was filmed in metro Detroit.

The plot of “The Daughters of the Domino” is about a character named Detective Nina Rose who gained fame for arresting her serial killer father known as “The Domino.” She once again has to put her detective skills to the test when her niece goes missing, explained director Jesse McAnally.

“She’s somebody who has really strong values and feelings and ethics, and they’re challenged through the course of the movie,” said actress Miranda Moffat who plays the role of Detective Nina Rose.

Much of the movie was filmed in Romulus, including at places like the Peter Bird house.

“This has been a six-year journey from pre-production to wrapping and now going into theaters,” McAnally said.

Screenings of “The Daughters of the Domino” will be held Friday, Nov. 14th, Saturday, Nov. 15th, and Sunday, Nov. 15th at 7 p.m. at the Hook and Ladder Theatre in Romulus.
