Transform your home with this faux finish

Local 4 Lifestyle Editor Jon Jordan shares DIY trick

Faux finishes are trending again in interior design, and you don’t have to shell out big bucks to bring this look to life.

According to Local 4 Lifestyle Editor Jon Jordan, faux shouldn’t look fake. Instead, Jon revealed how to make faux marble look real during a demonstration on “Live In The D.”

Jon transformed a water-damaged wooden box. He applied layers of paint with different brushes and paint colors to create a marble veining look. He suggests using asymmetry to mimic real marble.
