Warren – Preparing students to become future leaders, is the goal of “Academy of Warren.” The school’s vision is to instill critical thinking skills, respect for core values, and a global perspective in students. “We are family-oriented, this school is a safe haven for kids, not only do they get the best education, but they’re going to get enrichment, they’re going to get the best services, said Oronde Kearney, Superintendent for Academy of Warren.
Kearney has been with the school for 8 years, and with him, came a total remodel of the school. “We created what we call a learning street, where the kids can come out and work on activities and projects outside of their classrooms, so they are free of space, we have certain kids that love to move around, so we wanted to create that space for them, we have a lot of kids that are audiovisual learners, and so you want to intact that, you want to reach out to that to help them focus, to push their grades and their scores higher.”
The school wants their students to be well-rounded in education, and athletics. “We offer a K-8 accredited program. We use Houghton Mifflin with, ELA, math, and science. We offer robotics, STEM. We offer extracurricular activities, culinary arts, sports, girls basketball, girls volleyball, track, girls and boys football, boys basketball, track as well.”
Academy of Warren, is currently enrolling students and holding an open house Thursday, August 13, 2026. They are also hiring for various positions.
The school is located at 13943 East 8 Mile, Warren, MI.
