Macomb County Gets AAA Bond Rating
DETROIT – The U.S. government's bond rating was just downgraded, but Macomb County's was upgraded.
According to Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, Standard and Poor's has confirmed the county's AAA bond rating and has given it a stable outlook.
The AAA rating means taxpayers will pay less interest to finance bonds on construction projects.
The county is one of only three counties in Michigan and 67 nationwide to have a AAA rating.
