AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Keith Stonehouse was published last week in The Oakland Press in the people on the move column as "Good Neighbor," an award given by the Women's Council of Realtors-Rochester Chapter.
But the award was for 2011, before he was busted allegedly trying to by an "8-Ball" of cocaine outside a nearby bar. The drug deal is caught on tape, according to court records.
Stonehouse is charged with possession with intent to deliver and his case is in Oakland County Circuit Court.
Mary Rose Olejniczak, the current President of the council, says her organization is embarrassed by the publication and says "we've been getting calls from members."
Stonehouse is vice president of Franklin Title in Rochester and works with real estate agents.
He also sits on the Auburn Hills Zoning Board of Appeals and the Tax Increment Financing Board. He also served on the Boys and Girls Club board in Auburn Hills and was named "Citizen of the Year" by the organization.
Stonehouse did not return a call from Local 4 and his criminal defense attorney is on vacation.
He was named Citizen of the Year in his past work with the Boys and Girls Club where he used to go as a child and helped with fundraisers and other programs.
